Three Wishes is pleased to welcome Dr Ziad Aljian as Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Orthopaedics.
Dr Ziad Aljian is a German Board-Certified specialist in Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery, with additional certification in Pain Therapy and more than 20 years of clinical and surgical experience. He has held senior consultant and leadership roles in Germany and the UAE and brings extensive experience in orthopaedic and spinal care.
As Head of Orthopaedics, Dr Ziad Aljian will help develop Three Wishes’ orthopaedic and spinal care work for people affected by war, contributing his clinical expertise to treatment and rehabilitation. He will also support educational and training initiatives connected to the charity’s work.
As Deputy Chief Executive, he will contribute to the wider leadership and development of Three Wishes and its charitable programmes.

Dr Ziad Aljian’s appointment strengthens our healthcare work and our ability to support people living with illness, injury and trauma resulting from the war in Syria. His experience will help us develop access to specialist treatment and rehabilitation, while supporting education and training within the communities we serve.
